GraFx Publisher Connector - Document Workflow

Introduction

The "Document Workflow"-extension for Magento2.x extends the GraFxPublisher- and GraFxStudio-Connector with a simple document approval workflow. The editor acts as "requestor" while a person assigned to him acts as a "supervisor".

If a workflow is active, adding a product to the cart is not possible until the document is approved by the supervisor. The people involved are notified by email when a workflow is started or the document status is later updated. In addition, the people involved can view the processing status at any time in the document workflow list in their user account.

After approving the document, the requester can add the document to the shopping cart from the document workflow list.

Features

Simple approval workflow functionalites

Simple workflow functionalities with three different modes. Activated document workflows disables add to cart for chili documents - this is possible after approval by the responsible person (supervisor).

Different workflow modes

  • Standard: A document workflow for the Chili document is always started, so that only one document request to the supervisor is possible. It is not possible to add the Chili Document directly to the shopping cart. However, if no supervisor can be determined for the Chili document, the workflow is not activated and a corresponding error message appears. Adding to the shopping cart is not possible in any case.
  • Optional: A document workflow is only activated if a supervisor can be determined. If a supervisor can be determined, the document workflow is activated. It is not possible to add the Chili document directly to the shopping cart. If no supervisor could be found, no document workflow will be started and direct addition to the shopping cart is possible.
  • Adhoc: A document workflow can be activated interactively - based on the "document status". If a variable "chili_document_workflow_required" (needs to be created in the document) is not NULL, the document workflow will be activated.
  • Collaboration: under development

Fully integrated into the storefront of Magento

Requested documents can be managed via the document workflow list - both by the requestor and the supervisor.

Workflow configuration on different levels

  • Activation on system-, customer and product-level
  • configurable supervisor determination rule [system->product->customer (customer wins) [default] or system->customer->product (product wins)] (New from version 1.7)

Comment feature

Comment field(s) allows comments to be entered in the Magento storefront. "Viewer-Only" and "Supervisor" views allow consistent access to the document during the document workflow (requester, editor)

(Email) notification of involved user

The involved persons are informed about status changes via email. A customer can be notified about a new approval after the login.

Reminder functionality

Send automatic reminder (regarding missing approval/disapproval) emails to the supervisor after a given period of time (24h, 48h,72h, 240h).

    Adds Customer/Product Roles and RelationRoles supervisor determination priorities (integrating optionally with Enobis_CustomerRole and Enobis_AccountRelationSwitcher) via a new RoleResolver. Documents can now be pending on multiple candidate supervisors (supervisor_ids column), each notified with a personal email; whoever acts first is persisted as supervisor_id.

    Refactors the supervisor request chain: removes the old Pool/Source plugin system in favor of reusing DocumentWorkflow::getSupervisorForWorkflow(), and replaces scattered getSupervisorId() comparisons with hasSupervisor()/isSupervisor()/addSupervisorFilter() helpers that account for role candidates.

    Adds a read-only CLI command (enobis:chili-document-workflow:test-supervisor-determination) to inspect supervisor resolution for a given SKU/customer/store without side effects, an admin config field to render README.md, client-side required validation for the default supervisor field, and expanded README/MARKETING documentation. Bumps module version to 3.3.0 with a schema upgrade adding the supervisor_ids column.

    Introduce the store scoped switch "Chili Workspace Viewer Editing" so customers may continue to work on an adhoc document once it has been requested from the supervisor. Defaults to "No", which keeps the current read-only behaviour.

    • add Data::isWorkspaceViewerEditingEnabled(), the path is adhoc specific and therefore immune to the mode rewriting done by Data::setMode()

    • resolve the mode once per request and only for the full_vo context, the shared helper may be re-moded by other blocks in the meantime

    The supervisor release view, the collaboration and optional modes and Enobis\ChiliEditor\Block\AbstractEditor::getEditorViewerOnly() stay untouched, so no product or order driven lock is overridden.

    Add the label, comment and tooltip of the new adhoc switch to all eight dictionaries and restore the missing trailing newline of the last row.

    Only de_DE is translated, the remaining locales mirror the english source as they already do for the rest of the module.

    Add a user facing description of the new "Chili Workspace Viewer Editing" switch covering configuration, preconditions and the resulting behaviour.

    setMethods() is deprecated since PHPUnit 9.6 and gone in 10.0, but it is the only variant that tolerates a class which does not exist at runtime.

Those are synthesised by the Magento unit test FactoryGenerator in the project root runner only; the module local suite used by CI autoloads via composer, where the classes do not exist and onlyMethods() would throw.

    Relative indentation inside multi-line blocks is preserved, trailing whitespace is removed.

    Comment-only change: the PHP token stream is identical to HEAD for all 18 files (token_get_all without T_COMMENT/T_DOC_COMMENT/T_WHITESPACE), so runtime behaviour is provably unchanged. Line count per file is unchanged, keeping phpstan-baseline.neon and stack trace references valid.
